After moving to the Yaohua Residence Hall, NYU Shanghai students have been experiencing difficulties locating and collecting their packages.

Lacking a formal organizational system, delivery drivers were leaving packages on the ground next to the Fengchao mail boxes, resulting in students being unable to find the exact location of their mail. In response to these difficulties, student volunteers took the time to sort the packages by tower number.

A few days later on February 7th, NYU Shanghai Residential Life sent out an email that announced the opening of a package room located on the side of tower three.

According to the email, the new package room will accept and log deliveries, holding packages for up to three days. Residential Life also indicated that after this three day threshold, packages that are not picked up may be sent back to the mailer at the discretion of the management team.

In order to ensure your packages are delivered and you can collect them, Residential Life suggests that you leave instructions for your items be sent to the side of tower three. If you have any questions or concerns about the new package room please contact Residential Life at [email protected].
