We’re Laying Off Some of our Best Writers

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform our audience that we have let go of some of our most prolific and high-quality writers. This comes in lieu of a lack of budget, as we have not received funding from one of our largest contributors in a long time.

Our best writers, after going through their regular 3-year evaluation and passing with flying colors, have already been notified of their termination via email.

We felt that it is time for us to establish ourselves as a news entity free from the controversy or potential controversy that some writers may bring to our organization. We believe in and defend freedom of speech and truthful reporting. However, when it comes to our long-term sustainability as a high-profile organization, especially one that serves as a crucial pillar for relations between writers and readers, we have to prioritize our longevity.

There's just too much going on right now between the writers and the readers. Though we would like to please both parties, this is simply not possible given the current climate.

The readers want us to cater all of our writing towards them, not caring at all about how the writers feel. They assume that the writers will feel enough pressure that they'll have no choice but to comply. But how can the writers produce quality papers that please all readers when certain readers are directing all of their attention to writers based in Tulsa?
