Second Round of Covid Testing at NYU Dormitories

Just recently transitioning back to online classes, NYU Shanghai arranged a second round of Covid tests for dorm residents.

Continuing the change in policies, NYU Shanghai arranged a second round of Covid testing on Tuesday, March 15. The second round was held at both dorms, following the closing of the Academic Building. The university assigned time slots for different students to come down to avoid clogging up the lines. The Jinqiao testing site was in front of Tower 2 while the Jinyang testing site was in the lobby.

The third round of Covid testing, originally scheduled on Friday, March 18, had been canceled, and NYU Shanghai ordered antigen testing kits. Currently waiting for inventory to arrive, university administration hopes to use these in conjunction with the PCR tests and are waiting for updates on instructions of use as well as reporting from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC).
