Cleaner Shores, Fresh Paint: Students Leave Their Mark on Nanhui

Around 20 students had an afternoon beach experience with a difference at Nanhui, courtesy of the Dean's Service Corps on Saturday, April 18. But this was no swimming and sunbathing party. Tools were provided to students for trash-picking along the beach and painting sections of the seawall. Plastic bottles, styrofoam, and even slippers were among the mainly items found. The reward for these community-minded students? A hamburger lunch and the satisfaction of a cleaner beachfront.
