NYU Shanghai Votes Initiative Hopes To Attract U.S. Voters For Upcoming Midterms

Students at NYU Shanghai have started to gear up for the U.S. Midterm elections, where citizens vote for their state representatives. NYU Votes, an initiative out of the New York campus, has found its way to Shanghai for the second time.
What initially started to increase voter turnout among eligible voters for the 2024 Presidential election, has continued to grow. Student leaders Ari, Dominic, Ina, and Zandrea (co ‘27) hope that voters can have the resources and support necessary to vote from abroad.
Beyond filling out the ballot, NYU Shanghai Votes will also be facilitating trips to the U.S. consulate of Shanghai, and holding informational sessions about the importance of voting and the larger voting process.
The team is holding weekly tabling sessions on Wednesday afternoons in Magnolia House for anyone interested in getting involved, staying in the loop, and to answer any questions that potential voters and those interested in the process may have.
If you want to learn more about NYU Shanghai Votes or get involved yourself, you can get connected through the weekly tabling or by reaching out to the campus organizers through email:
