Goodbye For Now, Class of 2017
After two years together, the Class of 2017 will part ways as we begin our separate ventures across the globe. From Zhongshan Bei Lu/Jinshajiang Lu to Yushan Lu/Taolin Lu, the Class of 2017 has certainly been through a lot to say the least. Let’s take a look at what we’ve been through… Meeting classmates with different backgrounds
Spending the last of your budget at Tesco/IKEA/Carrefour on “necessities”
http://oncenturyavenue.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/tumblr_inline_ngowvufXwa1t1k0l9.gif Trying Yang’s Dumplings for the first time
The beginning of freshmen orientation...
... versus the end.
The anxiety of getting called on in GPS lecture
“It depends.”
The only thing enjoyable about calculus 2015/05/gb7.gif Post freshman year Thanksgiving feast
When the AQI broke 500
When someone steals your food from the communal fridge
Knowing you were close to home when you could see the Global Harbor Towers
Going to class the morning after a night out
Climbing over the ECNU gate
Crossing Jinshajiang Lu
When my jam comes on at KTV
Making the World Your Major
Street food outside of KFC
Getting hot plates taken away. Twice.
Getting through FOS (or dropping it)
“Meet at Mao”
Seeing half of the school at Ellen’s every Thursday
When it’s a Thursday night and you can no longer walk to Ellen’s for free beer
Realizing that the Pudong dorms don’t have a foosball table or blue couches
Trying the cafeteria hummus for the first time
The night before a GPC essay is due
The thought of never having to write a GPS or GPC paper ever again
...But still annoyed that the freshmen only have one semester of GPC
Going back to ECNU
The thought of studying away next semester
...yet realizing how much you’ll miss everyone
But regardless of where we are in the world, the NYU Shanghai bond will keep us close
And no matter how much we complain, we couldn’t imagine ourselves anywhere else besides NYU Shanghai
To the Class of 2017: It’s already been quite the journey, and the future has so much more in store for us!
Best of luck to everyone, until we reunite again senior year!
