Freedom and Memories
she looks at you she remembers but it escapes her time and again. all the words all the voices running through her head her hand twitches, her eyes close, wanting to live and it to be over. she coughs skin falling around her bones. slowly being sucked into her hollow cheeks. she dozes off to sleep then wakes. wishing to be free again. brown spots on her arms, head, legs. discolouration, pigmentation ugliness her head slides down the pillow slowly descending down the white, translucent cloth sunken lips hospital band on the left her eyes droop as if they were closed but you see her iris staring, remembering. her grey hair flies, almost like it is going to fall off. free.
