Chinese Government Closes Tibet to Foreigners - From last Thursday until the end of March, Tibet is going to be accessible only to the Chinese. The closure of Tibet happens annually around the anniversary of Tibetan Uprising of 1959. Since 2008 when riots broke out around this time, closure of Tibet has become a pretty regular occurrence.

Philippine Government to Ban Madonna - This past Wednesday and Thursday, Madonna performed in Manila only to at one point wrap herself up in the Philippine flag. This gesture violates the law that forbids people from wearing the national emblem. This move enraged many as they regarded it as the mockery.

Russian government finished the search for its miners with a final death toll of 36. According to the official reports the Arctic conditions “did not allow anyone to survive.”

Comparing Trump to Hitler - Felipe Calderon, the Former President of Mexico, called out Trump on his racist rhetoric. He warned the American nation about the Republican’s anti-American sentiment. At the same time Calderon drew a parallel between Trump and the leader of Nazi Germany, Hitler. Calderon, who is a conservative himself, also spoke out about apparent American supremacy.

Ireland Vote Outcome - During Friday’s elections three Irish parties came out at top Fine Gael, Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein. The gap between the two leading parties was only 1.2 points. The end result still remains uncertain as the chance of grand coalition increases.

Sisters Killed in a Vietnamese Waterfall - At Datanla waterfalls of Vietnam two UK sisters and their friend, former Royal Navy sailor, were killed. The guides questioned after the incident said that the tourists were swimming in lifejackets, but some got swept by strong waters.
