If you’re looking for an upbeat and energetic place to brunch on a late Saturday morning or early afternoon ... somewhere that hums of trendiness, energy, and conversation… rocks a cool daytime DJ -- Liquid Laundry is the definite place to check out. I was recommended the place by a friend on a Friday night and reserved a table right away for three at 1PM the next day. Reservations are a must.I entered an extremely packed space, music blaring, was seated and pretty quickly transfixed by the menu. They gave an extensive selection of drinks and a tempting list of food—you won’t know what to choose, or I didn’t at least. Let’s blame it on my indecisiveness. Going with friends and sharing a bit of everything is the way I handled that; would recommend this approach.For drinks you’ll find a wide selection of interesting brews, bubbles, and bloodies; for food, you’ll be sure to drool over the various egg, toast, and sandwich options. Our group of three ordered to share: We had the… Waffle: would rate 5/5, Selection of house bacon: 5/5 (bacon doesn’t usually disappoint),Avocado toast with egg and spicy shrimp: 4/5,And Eggs benedict with BBQ beef: 4/5.A+ to everything in terms of presentation— Food was photo worthy.B+ to service, which was a bit inconsistent, but acceptable.Including three drinks, our total came to about 540RMB—not cheap, but definitely worth it. We came hungry and happy; left satisfied and happy.

Liquid Laundry is located in the KWah Centre on 1028 Huaihai Zhong Lu (near Donghu Lu), it can be hard to find, but then again, that could just be me. I’m a 路痴 (luchi, having no sense of direction). My guidance led us to the back door by mistake, and if you too are a 路痴 and do the same, just call the number posted on the back door, let them know, and someone will come to let you in.It was a fun and tasty food experience, which is what brunch should be!
